Appointments
explained…
What is a Prayer Appointment?
A Prayer Appointment is quite simply an extended time of prayer ministry alongside some volunteers from our prayer crew. They’re usually one-off appointments and they last roughly an hour.
What happens during a Prayer Appointment?
The rough structure of a Prayer Appointment tends to flow three stages. First, the leader of the appointment will invite you to share what you’d like prayer for. Second, the volunteers will spend some time asking you a few questions about what you’ve shared to help them understand or clarify bits of what you have shared. Finally, the volunteers will suggest a way to pray for you and, if you’re happy with what they have suggested, they’ll spend some time praying for you and with you.
How do I book an appointment?
The first step is to get in touch using the contact form at the bottom of this page. Then we’ll get in touch with you by phone just to ask a few questions to help us understand how we can pray for you. After that, we’ll aim to book a Prayer Appointment as soon as possible.
Where do Prayer Appointments happen?
We recently turned the old vestry in the church into a Prayer Room and this is where we’ll host Prayer Appointments. It’s a really comfortable and welcoming space.
Our heart behind the Prayer Appointments is rooted in Hebrews 12:1-2a.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
Hebrews 12:1-2a (NIV)
